What are the general guidelines for facility rental??

The primary mission of the organization is to collect, exhibit, and educate people about Kenosha County history. Priority use of our buildings and grounds will be for programs and activities that support our mission. The History Center will make the following areas available for rental by individuals, groups and organizations when the events do not conflict with our programming.

Lighthouse Grounds and Gardens
Lighthouse Keeper's Dwelling
Theater, Rambler Legacy Gallery
Meeting Room Archives

The History Center reserves the right to review and approve, or disapprove, all activities to ensure that they are in agreement with our goals and objectives of the organization and its standards.

What items are prohibited at the History Center and Southport Light Station Museum?

    Smoking
    Smoke machines
    Pyrotechnic devices
    Glitter
    Confetti
    Helium balloons
    Candles

How much does it cost?
Rental rates vary from $100 for 3 hours in the History Center Meeting Archives, to $500 for a 5 hour rental of the History Center lobby and exhibit areas. Complete rental rates for each area and all terms of the rental are contained in the Rental policy and contract.
